Nearly three years ago we released this edit of Erik. It’s incredible how much everything has changed since then.

I really miss riding nearly everyday with the Chippewa crew. The riding scene in Madison has always been totally dead but at least when I first moved here I had the 4 Seasons to meet up with bmx travelers and got to ride with some skilled skaters. Since it closed a couple years ago it’s been hard to get motivated enough to ride around. After you live for years in a tight-knit scene and get dropped in a place where you don’t have anyone around one will find that it’s really hard to adjust.

Yesterday I went out and rode for the first time in awhile. It’s been longer than I care to admit. It was rewarding, as riding bmx usually is, but there was no avoiding the thought that if one of you guys were there it would have been 100x the session it turned out to be.

What does this have to do with the video? Probably nothing directly. But whenever I watch one of the older edits from a few years ago it always reminds me of how awesome it was to have that scene. You guys are cool.
